Craighorn Pal is a Labrador male dog being imported from Scotland. Primarily he has been acquired as a leal friend and companion, which is also outlined by the meaning of his name "Pal". Considering his superb potential & derivation of top working & trialling lines, we train & work him on a regular basis.

Meanwhile Pal has been registered in the stud book of the German Retriever Club and now is available at stud for suitable bitches.

Portrait Craighorn PalFor quite some time I was looking for a "part-trained dog" out of a top kennel in the UK. I had already come across several descendants out of Tom Smith's Craighorn line and had taken notice of their superb temperament, trainability and good look. Thus I immediately took the chance to acquire Pal, when I got to know that Tom was "over-good-dogged" at that moment and wanted to sell Pal :-)

Therefore Pal stayed the first 15 months of his life with Tom in Scotland, where he also received his basic training und lives now with me near Cologne in Germany.

Pal impresses with the following traits & qualities:

  • Excellent working style (pace, drive & style),
  • Distinct "game finding abilities" (nose, marking & retrieving abilities),
  • Absolute "will-to-please"
  • Splendid controllability/ trainability
  • Very friendly & affectionate towards humans and dogs

In Pal you can recognise his mother FTCH Lochmuir Aimee of Craighorn and his father FTCH Wingsham Tinder of Smithsteads (2nd IGL Championship 2005) to the same extent. The dog does not only combine all the parental top qualities in his pedigree, that can be expected from such high-quality champion-to-champion mating. In fact he proves all hereditary traits & qualities of his parents day after day in real life & in competitions.
